DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Logistics Specialist III and contribute to global science and healthcare. In this role, you'll manage importation and exportations, will be a focal point to Tariff tax classification, preparing and coordinating cases to prospect Tax Exemption in Brazil, dealing also with Intercompany areas do guarantee efficiency in our operations that serves a global inventory valued at $140M-165M across an extensive network of warehouses. You'll partner with teams worldwide to ensure implement improvement initiatives and deliver excellent customer service. Your analytical skills will be valuable to support supply chain efficiency while supporting our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree, Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Foreign Trade, Business Administration or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in Foreign Trade or Supply Chain areas
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with large datasets
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English (required); additional languages beneficial (desired)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Collaborative skills for working with global cross-functional teams
• Experience in transportation coordination and logistics network optimization
• Expertise of import/export regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in improvement initiatives and process optimization
• Project management expertise
• Detail-oriented with analytical approach
• Expertise in Tariff Tax classification Harmonized System
