DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Associate Application Administrator I and contribute to global health outcomes through our clinical research services. In this role, you'll provide implementation, operational, and maintenance support for enterprise software applications, ensuring a stable systems environment with optimal performance and reliability. Your responsibilities will include supporting analytical software, dedicated hardware, and server-based laboratory applications. You'll resolve application issues, execute change requests, maintain system documentation, and collaborate with colleagues to address technical challenges. Qualifications: 
Education and Experience: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 
to 2 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required 
knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years 
of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or 
making employment selection decisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 0- 2 years of experience in systems administration or equivalent combination of education and training
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science or related field
• Technical certification may be required
• Proficiency with server administration and architecture (Windows Server, Linux)
• Knowledge of relational database concepts
• Experience with desktop operating systems and productivity applications (MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio)
• Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex application issues
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate solution implementation across multiple groups
• Experience with laboratory information systems preferred
• Initiative to drive issue resolution to completion
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills quickly
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• May require occasional travel
• Must be able to work in office/laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological materials
• Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in various positions as needed
