Job Description

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team.

Generally the successful candidate will:

  • Provide a proactive service role to our clients and a supporting role to the FX PB Client Executive team in the daily processing, monitoring and reconciliation of all FX transactions for FX PB clients globally.
  • Partner with global teams to strengthen support of the FXPB platinum client base.
  • Main point of contact for client / administrator operational inquiries
  • Monitoring of all FXPB clients related trading within the FXPB matching system (TRM).
  • Participate in the reduction of erroneous errors
  • Help Optimize trading flows by seeking operational efficiency
  • Liaise with our FX Operations teams globally to help reduce operational risk
  • Booking of all exotic option types in Simpliciti and processing of NDF Fixes
  • Meet 15% reduction in MTPs
  • Supporting and testing of system upgrades and provide solutions for tech related issues
  • Daily reconciliation for FX and Options in regards to breaks and P&L

  • Develop an in depth knowledge of the products, markets and processes being supported
  • Exposure to products supported by the Prime Brokerage Middle Office – cross training opportunities for Equity and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage
  • Play an active role in the development and re-engineering of FXPB i.e. Novation’s, clearing reduction in balance sheet.
  • Fully proficient in the use of technology within own department
  • Enhancing communication and organisational skills. Meeting targets set within the group and interacting with a wide spectrum of people to achieve these skills

Req Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience:

  • Client service experience essential
  • Middle Office or Operations background
  • Exposure to FX products / solutions as well as other product areas of the Bank
  • Work experience in the Financial Services Industry is a benefit.
  • Displays a well-developed ability to schedule work and understand relative priorities.
  • Building positive working relationships and working with team members to understand the root cause of an issue in a timely and effective manner.


 Skills:
 
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Good Microsoft skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Computer literate and ability to grasp several in house systems quickly.
• Numerate
• Demonstrates sound judgement and professionalism in decision making/problem solving, escalating to supervisor as appropriate

• GCE “A” Level standard or equivalent
