About the Role
Fivetran is the backbone of the modern data stack, powering Open Data Infrastructure for thousands of global enterprises. As a Senior Sales Engineer specializing in Customer Expansion for ASEAN, you will be at the forefront of a booming market, driving digital transformation for our most strategic existing customers.
In this role, you aren't just maintaining accounts—you are an architect of growth. Leveraging your expertise in Data Replication (CDC), ELT/ETL, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Data Lakehouses, you will identify high-impact expansion opportunities. You will partner with Account Managers to build faster, more secure data foundations that enable our customers to win in the era of AI. Supported by a world-class global SE team and an agile APAC sales organization, you will be the technical pivot point for Fivetran’s continued dominance in Southeast Asia.
This is a full-time, remote position based in Singapore.
Your focus will be on maximizing customer lifetime value (CLV) by:
- Strategic Land & Expand: Penetrating new business units and subsidiaries within global conglomerates.
- Use Case Innovation: Identifying whitespace for new data pipelines, from real-time analytics to GenAI readiness.
- Product Evangelism: Introducing advanced connectors (SAP, Oracle, HVR) and new platform capabilities.
- Architecture Evolution: Ensuring Fivetran remains the core standard as customers scale their data volume and complexity.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Technical Win for Expansion: Lead technical discovery and solution design for upsell and cross-sell motions across a high-value Commercial/Enterprise account base.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Account Managers (AMs) and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to interpret usage signals and identify "trigger events" for expansion.
- Architect for Scale: Help customers evolve their legacy architectures to support modern cloud-scale volumes and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Champion the Platform: Position the value of Fivetran’s high-volume agents and enterprise-grade security to technical stakeholders and C-suite executives.
- Community & Enablement: Act as a thought leader in the ASEAN data community. You will produce technical content, lead bespoke training, and mentor partner teams on Fivetran’s competitive edge.
- Regional Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the ASEAN business landscape to navigate complex, multi-faceted decision-making groups.
Skills We're Looking For
- Enterprise Experience: 5+ years of operational experience with Tier-1 data
