Day Shift

Summary: The RN - OR, Team Lead shall be responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead is responsible to Nursing Leadership and will serve as a role model by providing direction in the application of nursing process, quality improvement standards, organizational and departmental goals, and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role of the Team Lead is to perform as a clinical leader and facilitator their service line area. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years surgery experience preferred. Evidence of commitment to continuing education. License / Certification: Active RN license required, BLS required, CNOR required within 1 year of hire, additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to use computer proficiently.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Knowledge in the proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and document composition.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.

• Utilize good guest relations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for (15%), standing (15%), and walking 60% of the workday. There is minimal climbling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending and reaching (10%).
Continuous use of fingers and hands, requiring manual dexterity and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Need for continuous vision: close-up, side and depth perception.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Frequent noise exposure.
Exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
