Facilities Equipment Purchaser

Job Summary:

We are seeking a purchase ordering and requisition person to join our team supporting our client, a leading multinational manufacturer. This role is critical to optimizing the planning and execution of maintenance activities, enhancing asset reliability, and ensuring operational efficiency.

As part of our embedded team, you will be managing, processing, and monitoring purchase orders and requisitions in support of our maintenance activities. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, maximizing resource utilization, and supporting the client’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and monitoring purchase order process creation & tracking.

  • Understanding and evaluation of PO types.

  • Follow up on the documentation that justifies the requisition vs designated budget.

  • Handling purchases invoices or orders from tax exempt areas.

  • Contact External Suppliers or Internal Customers (Intel’s RW) in case of any question or clarification.

  • Record the approval of purchase orders on the indicated platforms.

  • Review the approval flow of purchase orders with high amounts and keep track of purchase orders.

  • Receive training on changes within the purchase order management system.

  • Troubleshooting and follow of specific purchase order cases with vendors.

  • Understand Supplier status and notify the Internal Customers (Intel’s RW) if the Supplier is not officially registered with Intel.

  • Send tickets to avoid detention of materials in the dispatch warehouse for inspection, close or cancel purchase orders, change the creator of any special order, etc.

  • Manage PO Accruals
     

Qualifications:

  • Good operation leadership, systematic problem-solving skills for dealing with dynamic business challenges with internal or external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated discipline, attentiveness to detail and the ability to work under limited supervision are required

  • Must be capable of handling multiple assignments in a timely manner

  • Must have good communication skills, customer service, and team orientation.

  • Intermediate level of English skills (or greater) required

  • High school or technical high school degree required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Looking for some experience with Purchase orders, parts management.

  • College student of areas like Industrial Engineer or Related degree (~0-15% of advance).

Working Hours:

  • 2200 to 0700 (10pm to 8am) Malaysia time zone.

  • AMER/EMEA normal working hours time zone (8am to 6pm).

  • Monday to Friday AMER/EMEA normal working days.

  • Saturday/Sunday off day.

  • AMER/EMEA Public Holiday will be off day.

  • Malaysia public holiday will be paid overtime.

On-site –Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, Kulim, Malaysia
