What this job involves

We are looking for a smart, capable, and business savvy interior design professional to join our design services business in Australia on a fixed term contract until April 2027 with the opportunity to extend.

This will be a hands-on role and would be ideal for someone looking to gain access to expand both their skill set and network. Fantastic communication skills and documentation skills in Revit are a must.

The successful applicant will embrace working in a start-up like design studio culture, but with the support and resources of a Fortune 500 company with a significant project pipeline over several disciplines.

We are looking for an all-round Designer, especially focused on documentation who is ready to step up and make a name for themselves.

  • Work closely and support the Project Leader in presentations and delivery output.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation in Revit
  • High level overview of design across various sites to ensure best options presented back to our client. This involves putting our best foot forward and exploring all design options available.
  • Continue sustainability learnings and implementation on all projects.
  • Ability to self-manage time, projects and direct clients.
  • All round project experience – from concept design through to construction documentation and on-site experience – demonstrated by portfolio of previous projects.
  • Experience dealing directly with clients a plus but not a must. Documentation skill set will be valued more for this role.
  • Ability to prepare documentation in Revit in accordance with National Construction Code and relevant codes.
  • Continue learning about sustainability and best practices for implementation within projects.

Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Revit for interior design documentation and delivery.
  • Creativity: The ability to think creatively and generate innovative design ideas and concepts.
  • Strong documentation skills with proven ability to produce accurate, detailed construction documentation packages.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Revit is essential. Additional experience with SketchUp, Enscape, AutoCAD, and graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends, client preferences, and project requirements.
  • Collaboration: The ability to work collaboratively with senior designers, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Organisation and Documentation: Good organizational skills to keep design files, samples, and project documentation well-organised and easily accessible

What to expect from us:

You’ll join an entrepreneurial, inclusive culture. One where the best inspire the best. Where like-minded people work naturally together to achieve great things, join us to develop your strengths and enjoy a fulfilling career full of varied experiences. Keep those ambitions in sight and imagine where JLL can take you.
