Role Summary

Responsible for managing end-to-end import logistics operations, customs clearance activities, production planning coordination, and supply chain execution to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, and finished goods. The role acts as the key liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, government authorities, manufacturing sites, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end importation processes from purchase order issuance until final delivery to warehouse or manufacturing site.

• Monitor shipment status across air, sea, and land transportation modes and ensure timely execution of logistics activities.

• Review shipping documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, EUR1, and regulatory certificates.

• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with Egyptian Customs requirements and company policies.

• Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers, freight forwarders, ports, airlines, and government authorities.

• Track customs declarations and proactively resolve clearance issues, discrepancies, or documentation gaps.

• Monitor customs duties, taxes, demurrage, detention, storage charges, and logistics costs while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Manage communication with suppliers regarding shipment readiness, documentation requirements, and delivery schedules.

• Follow up on import permits, regulatory approvals, and product registration requirements where applicable.

• Maintain shipment trackers and provide regular updates to stakeholders on shipment milestones and potential delays.

• Develop production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.

• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, quality, regulatory, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

• Monitor inventory levels and identify risks related to stock shortages, excess inventory, or supply disruptions.

• Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities through logistics and inventory insights.

• Analyze logistics and supply chain KPIs and prepare management reports and dashboards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels, reduce lead times, and optimize supply chain performance.

Education:

• Bachelors degree

• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
