More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Product Engineer in Tijuana with Signify.

As a Product Engineer you’ll be responsible for Electrical Analysis and Design of Lamp/LED drivers, L2’s, Modules.  Performs PCB layout / modification, circuit simulation, write product test procedures, etc.

• Product Engineering:  Supports production teams to prevent production line stops.  Perform root cause analysis of products / process interactions to restore stopped lines immediately.  Includes misc. laboratory tests on products & components.
• Secondary role - Development Engineering:  Electrical Designs of Lamp/LED drivers, L2’s, Modules.  Performs PCB layout / modification, circuit simulation, write product test procedures, etc.
• Supports other departments – Component Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Product Management, etc. on technical advising.
• Organizes & reports a technical risk review, tackles risks with appropriate mitigation.
• Leads a problem-solving, team leads meetings, records action logs, follow up on completion of actions.

More about you

• Bachelor’s degree to be completed or completed in Electronic, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Knowledge of LED components, power electronics, and relevant area of application (LED Lighting systems), strong electrical circuit analysis.
• Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and PCB layout tools.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams.
• Advanced English (speaking is required)
