Job Description

Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.

OUR MISSION

True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.

OUR VALUES

  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.

YOUR MISSION

The Electrical Engineer II, Systems will support the design, analysis, testing, and integration electrical systems for complex space missions. You'll contribute to all phases of the spacecraft development lifecyclefrom initial concept and requirements definition through integration, test, and on-orbit operations. This role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging technical problems, develop innovative engineering solutions, and grow your expertise in spacecraft electrical systems while making a direct impact on missions critical to space security and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support spacecraft electrical systems engineering activities, including concept development, requirements analysis, trade studies, interface definition, and verification planning
  • Contribute to the design, development, and verification of electrical systems with a focus on power distribution, signal integrity, and component selection
  • Collaborate with cross-functional spacecraft engineering teams to support system-level integration and mission objectives
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of requirements management processes and documentation
  • Participate in integration and test activities including subsystem and system-level testing, developing and executing test procedures, performing functional verification, troubleshooting hardware anomalies, and supporting root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Conduct analysis tasks such as power budgets, thermal analysis, and basic radiation effects assessment
  • Support the development of test procedures and contribute to design verification activities
  • Document design decisions, analysis results, and test findings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, physical sciences, or related technical field
  • 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or related high-reliability industries
  • Working knowledge of spacecraft electrical systems and subsystems
  • Experience with electrical design principles, circuit analysis, and system-level thinking
  • Familiarity with requirements management and engineering documentation practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with standard electrical engineering tools (e.g., SPICE simulation, CAD tools, analysis software)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with spacecraft power systems, avionics, or related electrical subsystems
  • Familiarity with space environment effects on electronics (radiation, thermal, vacuum)
  • Experience with integration and test processes for complex electrical systems
  • Knowledge of reliability analysis techniques and FMEA methodologies
  • Experience testing large quantities of electronics, in-circuit testing
  • Programming or scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar)
  • Understanding of signal integrity and EMI/EMC considerations
  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $135,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
