About the role
We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.
The Plaid Tax team is responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related matters for the company. This includes ensuring income and indirect compliance with federal, state, local and international tax regulations, managing indirect tax accruals such as sales and use tax, property tax, and other non-income tax matters. We also handle the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, manage the quarterly tax provision process (including FIN18 provisions), and handle estimated tax filings and payments.
In this role, you will focus specifically on Plaid’s US and worldwide indirect tax matters. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment and be a proactive problem solver who wants to contribute to the success of the company. You will strive to be an integral part of a growing, multi-national company, will learn and grow constantly, and be supported in all steps of the process by the team and leadership.
