The Position

The Global Digital Hub has been established within the Roche Services & Solutions Center. Our main purpose is to strengthen Roche's digital capabilities globally by supporting central initiatives with Social Media Management, Brand Support, Digital Publishing Services, Marketing Automation, Copywriting, and Creative Design.

As a member of the Global Digital Hub Team, you will work to ensure fulfillment of the Global Digital Hub long term outcomes and strategy as well as excellent delivery of content creation priorities. As a Senior Medical writer, you will support the growing medical writing team within Roche Services & Solution Centre in developing medical writing & digital content solutions for our business partners across various therapeutic areas and play a crucial role in business development and stakeholder engagement

As a Senior Medical Writer, you will be at the forefront of creating high-quality content for medical communications tailored solutions. The Senior Medical Writer is an experienced  subject matter expert, advisor and leader within the chapter. Focusing on specific therapeutic areas in dedicated service teams, Senior Medical Writers are responsible for training and mentoring medical writers, copywriters and content editors within their assigned team - also driving cross-team upskilling and knowledge transfer to grow the capabilities of the chapter overall. This critical position has a global scope and a key component of the role involves acting as a trusted advisor and knowledgeable consultant to our business teams on the topic of medical writing and communications.

The Opportunity:

  • Apply broad knowledge of medical writing to develop effective scientific content for digital implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners and clients.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across therapeutic areas, ensuring delivery on agreed timelines and proactively managing your workload and capacity.

  • Ensure that all content, format, and structure comply with regulatory guidelines, Roche best practices, and diligently follow applicable company SOPs.

  • As a Senior Medical Writer, you will provide mentorship and technical coaching to team members and new writers joining the team.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in pharmaceutical and medical communications, leading the team in assigned specific therapeutic areas.

  • Take ownership for upholding the highest standards of scientific accuracy, quality, and compliance with all applicable industry guidelines.

  • Exercise excellent communication skills for professional liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders to obtain comprehensive briefs and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Who you are:

  • You have an advanced degree in a biological science or medical discipline and 7+ years of medical writing experience, ideally within an agency setting.

  • You have native-level written and spoken English and additional languages are an advantage.

  • You possess excellent attention to detail, consistency, clarity, and scientific rigor, demonstrating an accountable, focused, and precise attitude.

  • You must be able to effectively coordinate people across multiple organizations and countries while demonstrating strong stakeholder management and a customer-centric mentality.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, utilizing a continuous improvement and growth mindset to effectively prioritize tasks.

  • You have experience with standard IT applications, with a preference for proficiency in the Google suite.

Salary starts from 4000 EUR gross/monthly. Final salary depends on the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications.
