About the Team and the Role

eBay’s Collectibles organization is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas of our business. It brings together passionate communities of buyers and sellers across many outstanding categories, including trading cards, arts & antiques, coins, and collectible toys.

We are seeking a Category Manager Collectibles to take end-to-end responsibility for one or more key categories within the portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and development of your category – shaping strategy, setting priorities, and driving initiatives that directly impact results.

In this position, you work alongside seller-facing teams and other groups to convert opportunities into results. The role requires operating globally and coordinating with international peers on matters outside your local region. It combines methodical problem-solving with direct involvement in essential commercial aspects of the company.

What You Will Accomplish

• Own the performance of your categories, taking responsibility for business outcomes and steering the key levers that get results
• Define and continuously refine the strategy for your categories based on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics
• Identify and prioritize the highest-impact initiatives, and drive them through to execution
• Use data to understand performance drivers, uncover opportunities, and inform decisions
• Act as a strategic advisor to key sellers and partners, supporting their growth and strengthening their presence on eBay
• Identify gaps in supply and selection, and onboard relevant sellers and inventory to improve category competitiveness
• Collaborate closely with seller-facing teams and cross-functional partners (product, marketing, finance) to advance progress and eliminate obstacles

What You Will Bring

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business or a related field, with 3+ years of work experience; prior experience in strategy consulting strongly preferred, e-commerce experience is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach and a clear bias for action and tangible results
• Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Experience working cross-functionally and driving alignment across diverse collaborators
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners
• Confidence in using data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive performance
• Proficient in German and English
