About the role
Our Los Angeles office is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President the Media & Communications team, working across a broad range of high-profile transactions including M&A, strategic advisory, and capital markets. The role offers direct exposure to senior clients and significant responsibility in execution, including financial analysis, valuation, client materials, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong execution skills, excellent attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in media, digital, and technology-driven sectors.
Qualifications:
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience within the investment banking industry, or an MBA with 3+ years of experience, with a proven track record working on complex executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors
- Experience in the media, digital, or technology industry is strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, client and interpersonal skills
- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA and/or CFA designation would be an asset
- Series licensing or must obtain

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $225,000 per year for a Senior Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
