We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced automation solutions for our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level expert in software development, automation, and system architecture, with a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges and driving significant efficiency gains. This role requires a strong background in a variety of technologies, including Python, Ansible, Docker, and experience with cloud-native environments. The Principal Engineer will be instrumental in mentoring junior team members, developing best practices, and shaping the future direction of our automation strategy.

Investigating and resolving complex production and lab environment issues, including automation failures, API response timeouts, and infrastructure-level problems.
Developing and optimize containerized applications using Docker, and streamline deployment processes by leveraging CI/CD principles.
Acting as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to team members on complex technical processes, new tools, and best practices.
Creating and updating comprehensive technical documentation (MOPs, design documents) to reflect current architecture and processes. Redesign and refactor existing workflows for improved efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Working effectively with cross-functional teams (SI, VRAN, Planning, MP, ATLAS, IOP) to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive project resolutions.
Leading code reviews to deliver automation solutions without compromising delivery timelines or current production system performance.
