Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Manager, Environmental Engineering to join our team in Smyrna, TN. Responsible for orchestrating all facets of a regional energy management and environmental engineering department supporting high-volume manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments. Leads a diverse team of engineers responsible for: energy management, environmental compliance, talent management/employee engagement. Supports NNA's objectives in facility construction/management, model launches, and manufacturing operations. Frequently interfaces with executive management and works cross-functionally to improve engineering performance indicators. Contributes to building the Nissan brand and achieving enduring, profitable growth. The job assignment may be based at Franklin HQ, Smyrna, Canton, or Decherd.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
- Manage and oversee responses for NML-AB1 requests for information regarding Corporate & Monozukuri energy and environmental performance for the U.S. & Canada.
- Manages and oversees regional internal/external energy and environmental reporting (KPIs, Budget, Compliance).
- Manages and oversees regional integration of ISO and applicable standards across the organization.
- Works with new model engineering on facilities modifications, expansions, or other actions to ensure the facility supports all future model requirements. This activity encompasses all utilities (power, water, air, et cetera). Ensures environmental impacts are calculated and any permitting changes are conducted in accordance with all applicable requirements, policies, and regulations.
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (e.g., environmental, math, chemistry, physics) is required.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive, professional-level experience in an energy and environmental management role and two or more years of people leadership, mentoring, training, and contributing to team development.
- Team is dispersed across multiple locations in the United States and Canada. Expectation is on-site visits requiring occasional day or overnight travel. Must be willing to travel internationally to support the development of the major projects or facilities-related business. Expected travel could be up to 25%.
