About the role

At Julius Baer, we celebrate and value the individual qualities you bring, enabling you to be impactful, to be entrepreneurial, to be empowered, and to create value beyond wealth. Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.

This is a challenging and interesting role within Legal Financial Products & Institutionals. We are seeking a motivated and committed individual as a legal structured products documentation specialist. As a central point of contact, you will work closely with internal units such as Trading, Sales, Middle Office and Tax, as well as external partners like SIX Swiss Exchange.

Within our well-equipped team you will document all issuances of structured and other securitized products (warrants, leveraged products, AMCs) with the various base prospectuses and specific deal documentation (final terms, termsheet, KIDs in five languages) and also tailor-made (and not yet automated) products and support the life-cycle of such products.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Prepare and maintain all required documentation for structured products, including issuance prospectuses, term sheets, and Key Information Documents (KIDs)

  • Manage the issuance process and oversee listing on the SIX Swiss Exchange through Internet Based Terms (IBT)

  • Execute lifecycle events, including processing corporate actions

  • Coordinate closely with exchange representatives and other external stakeholders

  • Provide general legal and regulatory support relating to structured products

YOUR PROFILE

  • Commercial training, ideally in the field of banking, law and/or economics

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience at a corporate law firm or a financial service provider (preferably banking), ideally in connection with structured products

  • Knowledge of the Swiss banking and contract law, in particular financial markets regulation governing the banking industry (FMIA, FinSA) as well as an interest in European financial markets regulations (MiFID II/MiFIR and EMIR)

  • Dynamic, flexible and capable of working independently as well as in groups

  • Analytical, structured and solution orientated

  • Good communicator, capable of coping with pressure and with a natural capacity for persuading and convincing

  • Excellent command of English and German is a must, additional languages would be an asset
