Specialist, Purchasing

The Role: 

The buyer will be responsible on purchase order management, fulfillment and delivery of raw materials to meet Entegris manufacturing plants production. 

This role will manage supplier performance, purchase price variance, raw material on time availability to meet the dynamic demand of manufacturing sites in Entegris.  

This role works closely with cross-functional teams including production planning, Logistics, Sales, BU and Production to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demand..  

Establish a good working relationship with the suppliers in order to gain priority in terms of deliveries. Inventory management and control to meet company's set goal. Constantly drive all the activities in relation to the company objectives and targets.  

In this role you will: 

1. Utilizes MRP and Planning inputs to determine materials / components to order and places PO with approved suppliers to meet manufacturing requirements. 

2. Ensures materials to be delivered on time by suppliers 

3. Executes MRP action messages as much as possible like PO release, rescheduling and cancellation.  

4. Keeps track of monthly purchasing tracking reports 

5. Ensures adherence to ISO process and established purchasing guidelines 

6. Responsible for managing inventory levels of assigned materials to meet company goal. 

7. Participates in new product transfer, new vendor / second source development. 

8. Evaluates suppliers to ensure the best terms in pricing, quality of products, delivery timelines are met and the best possible credit terms is obtained. 

9. Assists Quality team in incoming material quality discrepancies, support the identification of root cause and assure material disposition is appropriate dealt with. 

10. Responsible to ensure purchasing master data are updated timely with correct information.  

11. Reacts timely to material issues, action plan and preventive strategy. 

12. Adheres to Entegris internal processes and procedures, including safety, ISO9000, OSHA, 

ISO14000 and housekeeping standards. 

13. Any other responsibilities assigned by management 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements): Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, Raw materials planning or supply chain management. 

• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP)  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 

• Excellent Reporting & presentation skills  

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. 

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. 

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Powe BI) 

• Language skill: English, Korean
