The Team:
You’ll join the Value Engineering team, a highly technical, strategic, customer-facing group that sits at the intersection of pre-sales, analytics, and transformation consulting. Value Engineers at Celonis are hands-on practitioners. They combine strong technical capability with consulting and stakeholder skills to guide customers through the full value journey — from first demo to long-term adoption and expansion.
The Role:
As a Senior Value Engineer, you will act as the technical and value lead for complex, regulated customers. Working alongside Sales, Services, and partners, you will design and deliver data-driven value narratives, build tailored demos, and lead Proof-of-Value engagements that demonstrate measurable impact.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys pre-sales, likes being close to customers, and wants to stay hands-on with data, code, and process analysis, while also operating confidently with senior stakeholders.
The work you’ll do:
Pre-Sales & Value Discovery
- Partner with Sales to lead technical pre-sales engagements, including discovery, demos, and Proof-of-Value projects
- Use SQL and Python to analyse customer data, build insights, and support value quantification
- Translate Public Sector and regulated-industry challenges into high-impact Celonis use cases
- Build compelling business cases and value narratives aligned to compliance, efficiency, and operational resilience
Value Realisation & Delivery
- Facilitate value workshops with business, IT, and data teams
- Identify and quantify opportunities across Finance, Supply Chain, and core operational processes
- Define improvement initiatives and support change programmes that drive measurable outcomes
- Present findings and realised value to senior leaders and executive stakeholders
Adoption, Expansion & Scale
- Own the end-to-end customer value journey: landing, adoption, expansion, and renewal
- Develop strategic roadmaps to embed Celonis as a core process intelligence platform
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on real customer use cases
The qualifications you need:
Technical & Pre-Sales Experience (Essential)
- Experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, or analytics consulting
- Strong hands-on capability with SQL and working knowledge of Python
