Hospice Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Hospice

As a Hospice Aide/CNA, you play a critical role in supporting patients and families during life’s most meaningful moments. You’ll provide hands-on, compassionate care that prioritizes comfort, respect, and quality of life - meeting patients where they are, both physically and emotionally.

What You’ll Do
Provide Compassionate Personal Care
- Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding)
- Support patient comfort through repositioning, mobility assistance, and skin care
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Provide respite support for caregivers when needed
Support Patient Comfort & Dignity
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN/Case Manager
- Assist with basic vital signs and simple procedures as directed
- Support comfort-focused care aligned with hospice philosophy
- Respect patient and family preferences, routines, and environment
Communicate & Collaborate
- Document care accurately and timely
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards
What You Bring
- Completion of state-required CNA/Hospice Aide training (CNA certification if required by state)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and document care
- Strong compassion and comfort working with end-of-life patients
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patient homes
- A patient-first mindset with respect for dignity and quality of life
