JLL's Retail Investments team is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Capital Markets platform in Melbourne. This is a career-defining opportunity to work on sophisticated retail transactions alongside industry leaders, gaining direct exposure to high-profile deals while developing the expertise that drives success in property investment.

What You'll Do:

Drive Retail Investment Transactions

• Develop sophisticated financial models analysing valuations, cash flows, and investment returns (IRR, NPV, yield analysis)

• Coordinate due diligence processes and deliver fast, accurate responses to clients, legal teams, and stakeholders

• Prepare compelling pitch materials and investment memorandums that win business

Deliver Market-Leading Analysis

• Conduct in-depth research on retail property trends, tenant performance, consumer behaviour, and capital flows

• Monitor retail development pipelines, format evolution, and shifting investor appetite across buyer segments

• Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance analytical productivity and accuracy

Build Lasting Client Relationships

• Develop strong relationships with private and institutional investors, understanding their portfolio strategies and investment criteria

• Provide regular market updates and transaction reports to retail-focused clients

• Support client coverage initiatives for local, regional, and global investors seeking retail exposure

Collaborate Across Teams

• Work closely with senior advisers on complex retail investment transactions

• Partner with retail leasing teams to understand tenant markets and rental projections

• Liaise with marketing teams to create top-quality advertising materials and campaign collateral

What You Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in Property, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field

• Experience in retail property investment, capital markets, valuations, or related fields

• Exceptional financial modelling skills with advanced Excel proficiency

• Passionate user of AI tools and emerging technologies to drive productivity

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
