Key Responsibilities:
- Research component environments, functionality, and interactions with mating parts to develop repair strategies for nonconformance hardware.
- Ensure technical data complies with airworthiness standards, and repairs meet safety, durability, and quality requirements; oversee or perform necessary analyses.
- Establish repair concepts and validate technical data for regulatory compliance.
- Author repair procedures for parts and assemblies.
- Review source processes for alignment with published technical data and develop innovative repair strategies based on operating trends.
- Obtain internal technical approvals and necessary regulatory approvals, coordinate with end users.
- Support investigations of engine field events, conduct safety risk analysis, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions using modeling tools to understand critical part characteristics.
- Continuously improve repair development processes and Engineering Standard Work.
- Enhance understanding of technologies, engine systems, regulations, and business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Structures) with robust understanding of product design and GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of or preferably experience with manufacturing processes such as, machining, plating, plasma spray, or brazing.
- Awareness of aerospace overhaul environment such as assembly and disassembly of aircraft power plants.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial gas turbine engines
- Assertive and results-oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Fluency in programming language like python, VBA etc. would be added advantage
Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) is looking for a highly motivated Graduate Engineer Trainee to join our Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) Commercial Repairs team. This position involves analyzing repairs to ensure they meet original equipment manufacturing (OEM) requirements, supporting customer safety, cost, and reliability objectives.
ASE is uniquely linked between the engine development / certification and aftermarket and field support engine life cycles. This results in our repairs having a direct impact on the bottom line of Pratt & Whitney’s maintenance repair and overhaul revenue and success.
The Graduate Engineer Trainee closely interacts with fellow ASE engineers from structures, design, project, and program, along with other module center engineers from the CIPT and design metallurgy, among others, to develop technical data to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
The ASE organization strongly values coaching and mentoring of all engineers, regardless of individual’s experience. This role also has an active role in the development of others as well as themselves.
