Job Title: Family Medicine Physician
Job Overview:
The family medicine physician provides primary care services to patients of all ages within our outpatient clinic that specializes in I/DD. This includes developing and implementing a plan of care, prescribing medications, and appropriately documenting each patient encounter in the electronic health record (EHR).
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence based primary care services to both pediatric and adult patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Refer patients for specialty care when indicated
- Partner with other members of the care team (e.g., nurse, medical assistant, social worker)
- Report and coordinate care with Medical Director
- Complete all EHR documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g., lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an ACGME-approved family medicine residency program
- Board certified or board eligible in family medicine
- Valid DEA registration and New York medical license
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)
- Fluency in Spanish
- 2+ years of experience as a primary care physician
- Experience with the I/DD patient population
- Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration
- Familiarity with the NextGen EHR
Compensation:
- Compensation is from 160000 USD to 180000 USD per year
