Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the expanding Global Business Services Organisation, in a company considered a global leader in its field. The successful candidate will join the Record to Report (RtR) Accounting Operations Team. They will be deadline driven, with an excellent ability to learn and grow. The candidate must be able to prioritise and work at pace in a corporate, multi-task environment. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.
The successful candidate must have experience in RtR Accounting Operations Analyst roles, be able to work independently, and be passionate about process compliance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, business requirements and applicable government regulations. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough approach to completing processes, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in data. They will pride themselves in communicating openly.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting journal entries for monthly close transactional activities, including but not limited to: inventory, accruals & payroll
- Manage construction in progress, in partnership with business contacts
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for high risk general ledger accounts
- Provide general ledger coding to colleagues in PtP and Intercompany
- Annual supplemental reporting to Corporate through Hyperion
- Support requests from external and internal auditors as well as various groups company-wide
- Assist in maintenance of documentation of policies, procedures and controls. Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies, procedures and controls (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
- Preparation and submission of government and other agency returns, including but not limited to government statistics returns
- Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Complete ad-hoc projects as requested
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in RtR Operational Accounting Analyst role, or equivalent
- Accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
- Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- Computer literacy, incl. MS Excel
- Fluent in English
