A Lead Counter Sales Associate at White Cap…
Demonstrates exceptional customer service to our walk-in, phone, and will call customers.
Orders products, arranges delivery, contacts customers regarding delivery and updates customers on order status.
Serves as point of contact for escalation issues.
Provides training and support to new counter staff.
Acts as liaison between supervisor and customers.
Ensures purchase orders are completed.
Upsells by identifying related products, add-on extensions and making customers aware of product promotions.
Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.
Generally, has 7+ years of experience.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field supporting contractor or industrial customers
Experience using sales order systems or ERP platforms (Oracle or similar)
Strong product knowledge or ability to quickly learn construction supply product lines
Proven ability to upsell, recommend add-on products, and support promotional initiatives
Experience handling escalated customer issues and resolving complex service concerns
Prior experience training or mentoring junior staff in a sales or service environment
