Engineer Level III – Track and Trace Technical Engineer
Position Summary
The Track and Trace Technical Engineer III is responsible for supporting the implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of serialization and track-and-trace systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role will work closely with global and local teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Experience with SAP Track and Trace (T&T) solutions (e.g. SAP ATTP, SAP ICH, TraceLink) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support for track and trace systems, focusing on incident management, resolution, but also in implementation of solutions (e.g. new country regulations, new business needs).
- Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of serialization solutions (e.g. SAP ATTP, SAP ICH, TraceLink). Experience in onboarding external partners and implementation of country regulations.
- Knowledge of ABAP (SAP coding language) necessary.
- Support change management activities and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT, production, and QA teams to resolve serialization-related issues.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and standard procedures, knowledge of validation tools such as ServiceNow and /or ALM tools and/or Veeva needed.
- Experience in product life cycle management process.
- Support site audits concerning serialization and compliance if and when needed.
- Ensure data integrity and quality for serialization operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in technical system design, support or system administration, ideally in pharma and/or serialization.
- Hands-on experience with one or more Track and Trace solutions (SAP ATTP, TraceLink, SAP ICH preferred, and any other T&T solutions considered as a plus).
- Experience in a regulated environment (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.). Experience with standard IT tools used in GxP environment including (but not limited) to Veeva, ServiceNow, ALM considered as a plus.
- Understanding of serialization processes, GS1 standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU FMD, US DSCSA, country regulations).
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex technical matters in clear and simple English terms).
