Position Overview

Join a team that plays a critical role in protecting people, assets, and operations across the enterprise. As Manager, Enterprise Security Command Center, you will lead a high-performing 24/7 command center responsible for security monitoring, incident response, access control support, emergency coordination, and operational readiness. Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop ESCC staff, including Console Operators, Senior Console Operators, and Senior Security Specialists.

  • Establish strategic priorities, performance expectations, staffing plans, training programs, and succession planning for the command center.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations related to alarm response, incident response, access control, customer service, physical security monitoring, and emergency support.

  • Ensure ESCC activities comply with applicable policies, procedures, legal requirements, regulatory obligations, and enterprise security standards.

  • Provide leadership and coordination during special events, emergency events, and incident management activities using established incident command principles.

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal departments, external agencies, partner utilities, vendors, and service providers.

  • Manage operating and capital budgets, contracts, technology support, procurement needs, and performance reporting for ESCC programs and tools.

  • Provide oversight and direction for security-related drone use, including aerial surveillance and related operational support.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, security trends, process improvements, and operational risks to strengthen command center capabilities.

Basic / Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience

  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 10 year(s) related work experience

  • FAA Part 107, Remote Pilot Certification or must obtain within 6 months

Desired Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of related experience with a major corporation, utility, law enforcement agency, military organization, intelligence organization, or private sector security organization.

  • Five or more years of leadership experience.

  • Minimum of five years of related work experience in security operations, physical security, emergency response, command center operations, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or a comparable corporate security environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for supervising, developing, and managing teams.

  • Strong knowledge of physical security operations, access control, incident response, security technologies, and operational procedures.

  • Ability to make timely, sound decisions during routine operations and high-pressure incidents.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage leaders, employees, external partners, and response agencies.

  • Advanced understanding of the energy industry, including the Bulk Electric System and natural gas production and delivery systems.

  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, vendors, security technologies, performance metrics, and operational improvement initiatives.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional, Associate Protection Professional, CPTED certification, or FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification are preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Field Mobility Classification – Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location.

  • Extended hours during periods of security risk and/or regulatory compliance events or during periods of heightened security threats

  • After-hours availability

  • Ability to obtain a Passport
