As a Field Engineer, you will be the face of Augury in the field, traveling extensively primarily across the United States, but also globally, to install, implement, and support our solutions.
This role requires a unique blend of mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and customer-facing professionalism. You will ensure our hardware and services are deployed correctly, operate reliably, and deliver measurable value to customers.
This position is based in Chicago, IL, or Houston/Dallas, TX and requires residence within one hour of a major airport.
A Day in Your Life
- Travel 80–90% of the time to support customer sites
- Install and implement Augury’s hardware and services in industrial environments
- Partner with customers (external and internal) to ensure successful deployments and ongoing satisfaction
- Manage administrative responsibilities, including service reports, customer action lists, inventory returns, and asset tracking
- Collaborate with Reliability Systems Managers to optimize product performance and customer outcomes
- Conduct site surveys, customer training sessions, and technical scoping calls
- Review weekly and monthly plans and organize field activities in alignment with Field Operations guidelines
- Document field activities and customer interactions accurately in the CRM system
- Respond to escalations from Service Management as needed
What You Bring
- Residence in Chicago, IL, or Houston/Dallas, TX within one hour of a major airport
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to pass a background check
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience installing or troubleshooting industrial controls, electromechanical systems, and/or wireless systems
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment operation and design
- Experience working in industrial environments with adherence to safe work practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong customer-first mindset, you consistently go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction
- Professional presence and ability to represent Augury in the field
- Vibration Analysis Category I or II certification is a strong plus
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekends

The pay range for this position in Colorado, California, and New York City is $95,000 to $108,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The pay offered may vary depending on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, and experience.
