The Opportunity
This position works out of our São Paulo, Michigan Site at Brooklin in the Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD).
We bring trusted, high-quality medicines to people in the world’s fastest-growing countries, with a broad portfolio of differentiated branded generics across key therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, cardiometabolic health, respiratory care, women’s health, pain management, and central nervous system disorders. We are also expanding access to biologic and biosimilar therapies—advanced treatments made from living cells—through strategic partnerships and a growing portfolio. Our biosimilars offer safe, effective, and more affordable alternatives to reference biologics, helping overcome barriers to care in oncology, immunology, and women’s health. By improving access in emerging markets, we support better outcomes for patients with serious chronic conditions.
The Controller is a key finance leadership position within EPD LATAM, reporting operationally to EPD BRAZIL General Manager and functionally to EPD LATAM Controller, being the leader who:
Establishes the right processes to secure the needed internal control and deploys the needed leadership to ensure that the entire organization complies.
Owns data management and business-financials analysis for underlying performance assessment and decision-making including resources - capital allocation and execution support.
Partners cross functionally for action mobilization to deliver on challenging results.
Provides strategic input to the business for sales volume acceleration and margins improvement.
Leads end to end all planning cycles anticipating for the right action to protect and create value.
The Controller of BRAZIL EPD is a key leader that not only acts but lead cross functionally for the right fiduciary and stewardship mentality, provides accurate actuals business analysis, maximizes investments returns and ensures quality across the multiple relevant reporting locally and to the Region, also deploys the right due diligence for successful planning cycles, and the right partnership not only with the Sales and Marketing local organization but also with the regional functions to deliver on ambitious goals.
What You’ll Do
Ensure integrity of financials; maintains sound internal controls and secure satisfactory audits.
Partner cross functionally for insights, analysis, investment decision, and execution.
Presents effectively financial and non-financial information to GM, Region and EPD leadership.
Review Actuals P&L and Balance Sheet, understand underlying variances, take corrective actions, and manages risk and opportunities.
Have in place the right governance and action for continuous margin improvement and ROI.
Manages the process, content, and deliverables of the quarterly rolling LBE and support LTP process.
Leads and develop his/her team for success and defines career development opportunities.
Provides financial and strategic insights to Local-Region-Division Management on key business matters.
Delivers high end financials forecast accuracy and supports improvement of the supply forecast.
Successfully manages the annual cost change process ensuring assumptions quality and implications assessment.
Is agile to function as PMO when needed, usually supporting Area Finance projects or Global Tools-Systems implementation.
Understand the current and future business model of EPD. Including biologics, oncology portfolio and how they will impact in the affiliate
Pro-active work with commercial and sales team. Visit customers, learn the market dynamics and how will financially add to the affiliate
Support and challenge Revenue management initiatives
Lead Class A implementation
Qualifications
Education:
4-5 years degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or industrial engineering. Master’s in business or finance is preferred.
Experience:
Ideally 10+ years of relevant finance experience aligned to the role expectations with proven track record in financial planning and analysis, business partnering, internal control and Finance leadership.
Skills and Competencies:

Financial planning and analysis capabilities and financial reporting and accounting competences
Internal Control competences and Demand Planning capabilities
Ability to communicate with others effectively and to manage complexity

Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data

Excel, Power Point, Data Management-Visualization and ERP skills to complete task.

Ability to balance between the strategic perspective and relevant details orientation.
Hands on individual who can quickly zoom out for the big picture and zoom in.
