WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US: 

The Senior Payroll Controller at SimCorp is responsible for financial controlling of the group's total compensation costs and ensuring accuracy and compliance with the groups finance manual.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • In debt, financial controlling, and analysis of monthly payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved cost management 

  • Understand the financial impact of various bonus models, including performance-based incentives, commission structures, and other compensation programs 

  • Ensure payroll-related expenses are accurately reflected in financial reports and assist in budget forecasting for payroll costs 

  • Prepare detailed payroll reports and variance analysis to explain deviations from the budget and forecast 

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on payroll analysis and findings to support decision-making and business planning 

  • Collaborating with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy as well as compliance with tax regulations 

 

 

WHAT WE VALUE 

  • 3-5 years of experience within financial controlling, preferably within the field of payroll controlling 

  • Profound IFRS knowledge with regard to payroll accounting (e.g., provisions for bonus, share-based compensation, holidays, severances, and other staff benefits) 

  • Experience in collaborating closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy, process improvements, and effective reporting 

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to details 

  • Advanced English communication skills, both verbally and in writing 

  • Experience in working with ERP systems Workday/Adaptive Planning or SAP/SAC 

Other requirements: 

  • Able to work in the EMEA time zone  

  • 2x RTO per week
