Production Associate I - Ashland, MA

This is a site based role in Ashland, MA, supporting the manufacturing of MatTek tissue models in a regulated laboratory environment. The position contributes directly to product quality and reliability while offering hands on development in cell culture medium preparation, quality testing, and biotech manufacturing processes.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare media and supplements using sterile technique with strong attention to detail
• Perform laboratory work under the direction of senior Associates and the Laboratory Supervisor or Manager
• Coat, cure, sterilize, and package cell inserts to meet production and quality requirements
• Perform quality assurance testing, including pH, osmolality, and endotoxin testing, and support product shipping by packing and verifying shipments against MAOs
• Support general laboratory duties and assist with tasks typically assigned to a Laboratory Assistant as needed

What will convince us:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent with no previous work experience or associate’s degree in biology or equivalent with 2+ years of hands‑on cell culture experience
• Ability to follow written SOPs and maintain accurate documentation in a regulated laboratory environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and consistency in routine laboratory tasks
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team under guidance from senior associates and supervisors
• Willingness to perform repetitive, hands‑on laboratory work while maintaining focus and precision

We Value:

• Ability to lift heavy items such as full 5L glass bottles, and ability to transport heavy items such as full LN2 tanks.
• Basic knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile laboratory practices.
