Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and enhance scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our digital platforms. The role involves building robust microservices using Spring Boot, driving best practices in system design, integration, testing, and performance optimization, and ensuring seamless collaboration across engineering, product, and architecture teams. You will contribute to technical strategy, modernization initiatives, and process improvements that enhance platform reliability and efficiency. As a senior engineer, you will mentor peers, uphold engineering excellence, and help shape the next generation of technology solutions that serve Lowe’s customers.

Roles & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
•Own end-to-end system design — from requirement analysis to scalable, maintainable architecture.
•Design microservices and APIs following modern best practices (RESTful, asynchronous, event-driven).
•Contribute to architectural decisions — balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
•Review and influence design proposals from peers and junior engineers.
•Develop, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
•Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Test containers) to ensure reliability and maintainability.
•Apply best practices in error handling, concurrency, and performance tuning.
•Design and optimize database schemas
•Build, deploy, and monitor applications
•Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes
•Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and pair programming
•Lead by example — promote high-quality engineering practices and continuous learning.

Years of Experience
•5 to 8 Years of experience is required in Software Development(Preferably Fullstack)
•Experience in a large, complex omni-channel or e-commerce organization is strongly preferred.

Education Qualification & Certifications
Required Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
