Overview:

As part of Cigna's Enterprise Risk Management organization, Client Informatics is committed to providing clients with reporting, analytics, and consultation that is relevant and actionable. The Client Informatics organization supports Cigna's strategy by utilizing insights that enable employers to make strategic decisions regarding our products and services. Our ability to Go Deep in product offerings to our clients will be critical to the achievement of our enterprise growth goals. Supporting this strategy is our Population Health Client Informatics Team; whose mission is to demonstrate Cigna's value proposition and identify opportunities to positively impact a client’s population through expert business analysis with data.

What You’ll Do:

Client Analytics & Insight Development

  • Perform detailed analysis of healthcare data, including cost, trend, and utilization data for Population Health

  • Conduct high‑impact ad hoc analyses across multiple data domains, synthesizing large datasets into meaningful insights

  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities, and drivers impacting client performance and population health

  • Quantify and evaluate benefit and program opportunities that improve outcomes and strengthen the client relationship

Client Strategy & Value Demonstration

  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations that inform client decision‑making

  • Demonstrate Cigna’s value proposition through data‑driven storytelling and results presentations

  • Support and validate overall client engagement and benefit strategy through analytics

Client Relationship & Influence

  • Establish and maintain direct relationships with client stakeholders, influencers, and decision‑makers

  • Lead analytics‑driven discussions with client leadership and effectively represent subject matter expertise

  • Present results, insights, and recommendations in a clear, compelling, and executive‑ready manner

Consultative and results driven

  • Educate account team so that they better understand medical cost drivers and manage client needs/demands.

  • Influence business partners in a way that drives profitable growth.

  • Demonstrate passion for and dedication to anticipating and meeting the expectations and requirements of clients.

  • Lead client discussions and effectively represent subject expertise

Analytics Innovation & Best Practices

  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing analytics, tools, and processes

  • Contribute to the development and adoption of best practices in business and healthcare analytics

  • Support a continuous learning culture by sharing knowledge and insights across teams

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, business, or government roles with a strong focus on analytics or consulting

  • 3+ years of experience using analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, or similar technologies

  • Proven experience creating and presenting analytically driven materials to clients or senior stakeholders

  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross‑functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools

  • Prior experience supporting Population Health Client Informatics

  • Strong understanding of healthcare cost drivers, utilization, and population health concepts


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 98,200 - 163,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
