Core Responsibilities

  • Perform network activations for Comcast customers in accordance with established procedures and best practices.

  • Support customer migrations to the Comcast network across various products, including SD-WAN, IPsec, NaaS, MPLS, and SSL VPN solutions.

  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.

  • Apply a solid understanding of routing principles—including route preference based on protocol type, administrative distance, and metric values—to ensure efficient and predictable traffic routing.

  • Analyze routing tables and metrics to validate traffic flow and resolve routing issues.

  • Establish BGP peerings for customers requiring public internet presence and assist in designing appropriate routing policies.

  • Collaborate with carriers to troubleshoot internet circuit issues and ensure timely resolution of connectivity problems.

  • Activate and configure cloud services, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), as part of hybrid or cloud-based network deployments.

  • Deploy and manage virtual appliances in cloud environments, such as FortiGate VMs and Silverpeak virtual instances.

  • Provide technical expertise focused on the data side of the network, ensuring seamless handoff and integration with customer environments.

  • Work with a variety of networking hardware, including Fortinet, Meraki, Cradlepoint, ADVA, and Silverpeak devices.

  • Handle configuration, deployment, and centralized policy management using FortiManager.

  • Configure and support various authentication methods, including RADIUS, LDAP, and SAML, based on customer environments.

  • Enable and manage UTM (Unified Threat Management) features such as firewall policies, antivirus, web filtering, intrusion prevention, and application control.

  • Troubleshoot UTM-related issues, including identifying and resolving incorrect blocks or filtering behavior that impacts legitimate traffic.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure timely and successful activations, migrations, and issue resolutions.

  • Maintain detailed documentation and ticket comments, including activation notes, troubleshooting steps, and post-activation tracking.

  • Continuously enhance technical skills; certifications such as NSE4, NSE7, CCNA, and CCNP are highly encouraged.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule / Work Set-up / Location:

  • Shifting Schedule (must be amenable with any schedule depending on business needs)

  • Hybrid Work Set-up (3x onsite, 2x WFH per week)

  • Office address is at GLAS Tower, Ortigas Pasig City

  • Must be flexible with the schedule and amenable to render overtime and work on holidays if needed
