Are you someone who can:
- Coordinate activities of staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient department that reduces the number of cases that are overlooked.
- Oversee the pre-legal collection of outstanding defaulted credit exposures to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and per company policy.
- Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful pre-legal collections on outstanding debt.
- Recruit, train and evaluate staff within pre-legal collections to ensure required skill levels.
- Develop goals that complement the overarching business goals of the company and coordinate staff to continually meet and exceed goals.
- Run reports and analyze data pertaining to the department and share with department staff as needed.
- Lead high-performance collections teams to take ownership and accountability of the pre-legal collections focus areas.
- Help build a self-sustaining culture of staff morale, collaboration, effective communication and efficient processes.
- Deliver a quality service level to customers with an aim to retain and rehabilitate clients.
- Support the Senior Pre-Legal Collections Manager with all strategic, process and operational related initiatives necessary to reach departmental targets and goals.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Law or another Business-related field.
- Have over 5 years’ experience in Credit and Collections, with a strong understanding of debt recovery processes and relevant regulations within a banking environment.
- Have leadership experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
