Vultr is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Lead to drive data-driven decision-making across our global purchasing operations. This leadership role blends hands-on analytics with strategic oversight—responsible for monitoring supplier performance, identifying significant cost reduction opportunities, and mentoring a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, procurement knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and value across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
Oversee the design, accuracy, and automation of procurement dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
Validate analytical methodologies and ensure consistent reporting standards across the team.
Own the procurement analytics framework, ensuring standardized methodologies and reporting accuracy.
Oversee automation, dashboard enhancements, and data governance across procurement systems.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing metrics, supplier performance, and spend analysis.
Maintain and optimize procurement dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations.
Cost Optimization
Identify cost-reduction opportunities through spend analysis and supplier consolidation.
Support negotiations with vendors by providing pricing benchmarks and historical data.
Track and report realized savings from procurement initiatives
Vendor & Supplier Management
Oversee Evaluation of vendor performance using quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Support supplier onboarding, audits, and performance reviews.
Maintain and update the preferred supplier list and contract database.
Partner with sourcing managers (not replace them) to provide analytical insights for QBRs.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Support procurement process improvements and standardization across the organization.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, purchasing guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Identify inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve cycle time, data quality, and audit readiness.
Assist in enforcing contract terms and managing renewal timelines.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead and mentor procurement analysts, ensuring high-quality reporting, data accuracy, and analytical rigor.
Review and approve analytical outputs, dashboards, and supplier performance reports before executive distribution.
Serve as the escalation point for complex data questions, system issues, and reporting gaps.
Strategic Ownership
Own the procurement analytics roadmap and ensure alignment with Procurement, Finance, and Operations leadership.
Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders on spend analytics, supplier performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
Documentation & Systems
Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements.
Take lead with utilization of ERP or procurement systems to extract data, automate reports, and streamline workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
5 -8years of experience in procurement, supply chain analytics, or sourcing.
Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading analytical workstreams.
Strong ability to standardize reporting, build dashboards, and improve data governance.
Ability to collaborate with sourcing managers, finance, and operations without owning negotiations.
Soft Skills
Attention to detail with the ability to manage large data sets.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CSCP).
Experience in supplier negotiations or contract management.
Experience working with data centers and/or cloud service providers.
Experience with ERP systems, procurement tools, and automation.
Experience building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or data center environments (as in your original
doc).
