As the Manager, IT Business Systems Analysis, Alcon's Information Technology function, is primarily responsible for leading a team of analysts to ensure IT systems meet business requirements and are delivered on time. You will run day-to-day operations, build effective relationships with business partners, and enhance IT solutions to align with business needs.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Manage a team of IT business analysts, ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs and define requirements, ensuring IT systems and solutions align with business goals and objectives
- Oversee and Lead project execution, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained
- Mentor and develop junior analysts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
- Make decisions related to project management, resource allocation, and IT system design
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding technology improvements and process optimizations
- All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
- Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the service/system(s), ensuring that they are stable, has business continuity (as appropriate), running with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations, and maintained in a validated state.
- Operational and management tasks includes and not limited to the following:
- capacity, incident, problem, change, patch and lifecycle management
- owns and/or approves IT operational procedures
- leads crisis management (including priority 1/2 IT incidents) with relevant stakeholders and Head of IT, if required
- maintain and ensure all application data is consistent across the various repositories
- leads gaps assessment
- Ensure adherence to IT, security and compliance standards/requirement set out and defined by external regulatory bodies, Alcon IT and/or Quality Organization.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Degree in Information Technology (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent technology related field.
- Minimum: 10+ years in a Senior IT Business Analyst or equivalent position in a manufacturing environment (Medical Device / Pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- Experience in full implementation of mid-large scale IT or OT system as the Technical SME / Project Manager
- Experience in leading a team (physical and remote) to deliver and support IT and/or OT systems (prior experience will be an added advantage)
- Hands-on experience and knowledge in key Manufacturing applications such as MES (Siemens MES Camstar/OpCentre preferred)
- Good hands-on knowledge with Oracle, MS SQL and Postgre SQL databases
- Good hands-on knowledge in scripting and programming (eg. Python) and query languages
- Strong knowledge in compliance frameworks like GxP / CSV / CFR Part11 requirement
