Production Shift Supervisor – Williamsport, PA

Arxada is looking for a Production Shift Supervisor supporting our Production Units located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day manufacturing activities to meet Safety, Quality, and production requirements in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible manner. Guide development and provide leadership for shift employees. Provide management representation on off-shifts, acting as caretaker for the entire plant. Coordinate LERT efforts during emergency situations.
The expected salary range for this role is $58,000 to $77,000 annually but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors permitted by law.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead housekeeping inspections and ensure high standards.
- Lead EHS initiatives (e.g. Inspections, Safety observation program, SOAR cards, updating standard operation procedures, carrying out risk assessments etc).
- Issuing and ensuring compliance with the permit to work system.
- Quality / GMP Compliance: Enforcement, Coaching and Training. Resolve identified issues.
- Help close GMP gaps identified either from internal or external auditing.
- Support for customer complaints and First Time Quality - investigation and resolution.
- Coordinate all maintenance activities – call-in procedure, scheduling repairs and safe work permit issue.
- Ensure daily production schedule is met.
- Ensure work force headcount is aligned to meet the workload – to cover absence, holidays or additional working.
- Performance management – ensure compliance with relevant Company policy and procedure taking appropriate action if / when required.
- Oversee new hire training plus ongoing training / competence of existing employees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5-10 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Provide oversight to employees in the production process areas. Ensure employees are properly trained and complete work safely.
- Computer skills, interpersonal skills are a must.
- Must pass pulmonary and full face respiratory fit testing requirements including any other medical and physical requirements such as the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing and working on elevated platforms.
