A Cloud Support Engineer ensures the stability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems by troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure. They act as the primary technical point of contact, managing client support tickets, assisting with deployment, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance service efficiency and automate workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve, triage, and manage complex customer issues via tickets, chat, or calls regarding cloud services.

System Maintenance: Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and security.

Deployment Assistance: Collaborate with teams to deploy and validate new cloud solutions and infrastructure.

Automation: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and scripts to improve processes.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and solutions.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure , AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP

Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems.

Networking: Knowledge of network protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP) and concepts (firewalls, switching, subnetting).

Scripting/Coding: Experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.

Containers/DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

Certifications: Often require Azure / AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner/Associate, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, or similar.
