Newsweek is looking to bring on a Head of Consumer Social to our Social Team.

The Head of Consumer Social will lead traffic and engagement strategies across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X, and other consumer platforms. This role will also drive social video strategy and influencer-led growth in partnership with the VP of Growth Markets and/or others.

This is a full-time role, working 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. You will be able to work from home, from anywhere in the UK, or from our office space at Canary Wharf, London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement platform-specific strategies to grow social referrals, engagement, and monetization across consumer social platforms.
  • Lead social video strategy and growth across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Partner with video and multimedia teams to ensure success.
  • Own and execute social campaigns to promote Newsweek original series, subscriptions, new products and offerings.
  • Partner with Editorial, Audience, and Product teams to execute cross-functional projects aimed at improving newsroom efficiency, digital visibility, and user engagement.
  • Track and report on social media performance, proactively identifying opportunities to improve engagement and platform referrals.
  • Develop and participate in A/B testing initiatives and help implement learnings into future posts and social media strategies.
  • Support and grow community engagement and content amplification.
  • Collaborate with the video/multimedia team and VP of Growth Markets on monetization strategies and new revenue growth.
