SUMMARY: Joining the Incubation Lab, you will be part of a design and technology team re-imagining human-centered design innovation and rapid concept development. As a Senior Visual Designer, you will focus on high-quality visual execution and interface design, helping to bring abstract concepts to life through tangible, polished assets that make complex ideas simple and accessible.
HIERARCHY: Senior Individual Contributor
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Design Execution: Maintain a high bar for visual craft, ensuring consistency and quality across all assigned design initiatives.
- Visual Direction: Translate product direction into high-quality, intuitive, and elegant interfaces that bring future concepts to life.
- Hands-on Craft: Execute visual design across a variety of outputs, from consumer-facing apps to compelling patient-journey storytelling decks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate design rationale effectively to internal partners, ensuring clarity and alignment on design decisions.
- Interface Design: Create engaging, innovative interfaces that balance strong aesthetics with usability across platforms like web and mobile.
COMPENTENCY:
- Deep attention to detail and passion for visual storytelling.
- Solid understanding of component-based design systems.
- Growth-minded approach with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: BA/BS in Graphic Design, User Experience, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of hands-on design experience in fast-paced environments.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Professional proficiency in English.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong portfolio with an emphasis on interface or screen-based experiences.
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype at multiple fidelities.
- Hands-on experience applying AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney).
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications. Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office/Remote environment.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Standard business hours (EST)
TRAVEL: Potential for once a year travel for a workshop.
