Job Description

Hover helps people design, improve, and protect the properties they love. With proprietary AI built on over a decade of real property data, Hover answers age-old questions like “What will it look like?” and “What will it cost?” Homeowners, contractors, and insurance professionals rely on Hover to get fully measured, accurate, and interactive 3D models of any property — all from a smartphone scan in minutes.

At Hover, we’re driven by curiosity, purpose, and a shared commitment to serving our customers, communities, and each other. We believe the best ideas come from diverse perspectives and are proud to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture that inspires growth, accountability, and excellence. Backed by leading investors like Google Ventures and Menlo Ventures, and trusted by industry leaders including Travelers, State Farm, and Nationwide — we’re redefining how people understand and interact with their spaces.

Why Hover wants you

The insurance claims process is one of the most complex, high-stakes workflows in the real world — and it's still largely broken. Adjusters are making damage assessments from photos taken on a smartphone. Carriers are paying for estimates built on guesswork. And homeowners are waiting weeks or months for outcomes that should take hours.

Hover is changing that. Our 3D scan and AI platform is already embedded in the claims workflows of nine out of the ten top insurance carriers, and we're just getting started. We're hiring a Principal PM to help own and define our next chapter in claims — across the workflows that matter most to carriers, adjusters, and the homeowners they serve.

This role spans the full range: some of it is 0-to-1, defining new product territory; some of it is block-and-tackle, making existing enterprise workflows faster and better. Both matter. You'll be shaping what the product becomes, not inheriting a finished roadmap. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to co-build solutions, partner with engineering and CV/ML leadership to define what's technically possible, and help Hover become the standard for AI-powered claims.

You will contribute by

Drive claims product strategy. You'll be a key contributor to where we go next — shaping the roadmap, identifying the biggest opportunities, and making sure we're solving the right problems in the right order. You won't be handed a plan; you'll help build it.

Co-build with enterprise customers. Our enterprise relationships are a competitive advantage, and you'll know how to make the most of them. You'll spend meaningful time in the field — with adjusters, carriers, and inspection teams — turning their workflows into product insight and your product into their workflow.

Ship and iterate fast — across the full range of work. Some weeks you'll be in early discovery mode, figuring out what to build next. Others you'll be heads-down shipping the enterprise features that make carriers' workflows actually run. You'll know how to thrive in both modes.

Define AI and capture experiences that feel like magic. You'll work closely with our ML and computer vision teams to turn hard technology into intuitive, delightful tools — for field adjusters on mobile and desk adjusters on web.

Help build the end-to-end claims platform. The goal isn't a great feature — it's a seamless workflow that carriers can run their entire claims process on, from first notice to final settlement. That means working closely with your fellow PMs to make sure the pieces fit together, hand-offs feel invisible, and Hover becomes the platform carriers can't imagine working without.

Your background includes

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least a few years in enterprise or B2B software
  • A track record of shipping high-quality products fast, ideally in domains with real-world operational complexity
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers — not just as a stakeholder, but as a co-builder
  • Comfort with AI/ML products: you don't need to write the models, but you can engage meaningfully with the tradeoffs
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you're as clear in a Slack thread as you are in a board room

Nice to have:

  • Insurance industry experience (claims, underwriting, or adjacent)
