The Position

The Opportunity
The SHE Manager will lead, manage, and develop the local Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and its operational activities within the affiliate. This role is crucial for embedding corporate and local SHE standards, driving regulatory compliance, and minimizing organizational risk through proactive leadership and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities
- Management Advisory & Culture: Partner with senior and line management to provide expert safety guidance and actively promote local and global Roche SHE objectives across the company.

- Compliance & Gap Resolution: Support the organization in meeting local legal regulations and Roche provisions by performing gap analyses, maintaining the SHE handbook, and ensuring all required legal permits are secured.

- Risk Mitigation & Inspections: Implement and document formal risk analyses, conduct periodic workplace safety inspections, and maintain a robust business continuity plan.

- Data Monitoring & Incident Reporting: Track and document key safety metrics, including employee training, incidents/injuries, environmental emissions, resource usage, and overall progress toward SHE goals.

- Emergency Readiness & External Relations: Establish internal emergency management systems, advise external crisis teams during incidents, and maintain professional contacts with local authorities and the public.

Who you are?
Required Education and Experience
- University Degree (License) in SHE or Engineering, Masters degree in SHE is preferred.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the SHE field.
- Professional fluency in three languages: English, French, and Arabic.

- Communication & Collaboration: Superior verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly, listen excellently, and work seamlessly within cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Analytics: Strong technical capabilities in software use, paired with sharp problem-solving, judgment, and decisive decision-making skills.
