Job Description

Bose Luxury is the first-of-its-kind luxury audio group, dedicated to sonic innovation and creative excellence with its roster of brands, including McIntosh, Sonus faber, and Sumiko.  

The Art Director supports the creative vision and execution of the Bose Luxury audio group across all brand touchpoints, working closely with the Creative Director to bring the brand worlds of McIntosh and Sonus faber to life through compelling visual and experiential storytelling.  

This role combines conceptual thinking with hands-on design execution—contributing to the development of creative ideas while delivering best-in-class assets across product marketing, partnerships, events, retail environments, and content development. A strong background in fashion and editorial image making is a must, along with branding and experiential design. A deep passion for music, contemporary culture and creative innovations of all kind is expected.  

Operating at the intersection of luxury, design, audio and performance, the role ensures that all creative output reflects the craftsmanship, heritage, and elevated aesthetic standards of Bose Luxury and our brands, while supporting commercial objectives and brand growth. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

Creative Concept Development & Ideation 

Support the development of creative concepts across a range of initiatives, contributing to the visual direction of the brand. 

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on concept development for: 

  • Brand campaigns and product launches 

  • Strategic partnerships and collaborations 

  • Experiential activations and events 

  • Photography, video, and visual storytelling direction 

  • Contribute to pitch development, mood boards, and visual frameworks 

  • Translate strategic briefs into strong, cohesive creative concepts aligned with brand identity 

Creative Production & Asset Development  

Execute high-quality design work across a wide range of brand and marketing assets, with a high level of craft and precision. 

  • Develop and produce: 

  • Product catalogs and printed materials 

  • Website pages and digital assets 

  • Advertising (digital and print) 

  • Retail, showroom, and event graphics 

  • Exhibition and environmental design assets 

  • Motion assets and video-based content for digital, social, and experiential use 

  • Ensure consistency and excellence across all deliverables, maintaining a luxury-level attention to detail 

  • Adapt creative concepts across formats and channels while preserving the integrity of the original vision 

  • Production & On-Set Creative Execution 

  • Experience working on photo and video shoots from pre-production through post 

  • Ability to partner with production teams on set to ensure creative intent is captured 

  • Understanding of production workflows, timelines, and deliverables across channels 

Brand Identity & Visual Consistency 

Maintain and evolve the visual identity of Bose Luxury and its brands across all touchpoints. 

  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines, typography, color, and visual systems 

  • Uphold a consistent and elevated aesthetic across all creative outputs 

  • Support the development and refinement of brand assets, templates, and motion guidelines 

 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

Partner closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive and effective creative work. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Experience, and Product teams on campaign and content development 

  • Work with external agencies, photographers, videographers, and production partners 

  • Support alignment between creative vision and execution across regions and channels 

 

Experience & Skills 

  • 6–8 years of experience as an Art Director preferably within luxury, lifestyle, or design-led brands 

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and high-end execution across print, digital, motion, and experiential design 

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite  

  • Experience developing motion graphics, video content, and animation for brand storytelling 

  • Strong understanding of branding and editorial design, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and motion design principles 

  • Ability to translate strategic briefs into compelling visual and motion-driven concepts and presentations 

  • Production & On-Set Creative Execution: Experience working on photo and video shoots from pre-production through post, ability to partner with production teams on set to ensure creative intent is captured, understanding of production workflows, timelines, and deliverables across channels  

  • Experience mentoring junior creatives and managing small teams

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of New York, New York is: $108,700-$149,500.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
