Position Summary
The Executive Director, CSM FP&A is responsible for financial planning and analysis for Commercial, Specialty and Markets, coordinating processes and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to align financial goals with business objectives. This leader is responsible for development and/or evaluation of assumptions, analysis of results, and identification of meaningful key drivers of annual operating plans, financial forecasts, and monthly results.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead teams performing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Develop analyses and key metrics to support accurate and timely financial forecasting, identification of actionable insights, and management of risks and opportunities
- Assess and challenge forecast assumptions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enterprise risk appetite
- Oversee the enhancement of core FP&A, including enhanced processes and better real-time insights on volume and revenue trends, and deeper analytics on gross margin trends and drivers
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressively responsible finance/actuarial/operational leadership experience in health insurance or healthcare.
- Track record of developing strategic plans, working in a cross-matrix environment, adapting, and performing in an evolving environment
- Proven experience developing and leading a finance team
- Adept at leading through influence, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership
- Mastery of strategic problem solving, decision making, and communication skills for financial and non-financial stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- FSA, ASA, or CPA designation; MBA or related advanced degree
- Experience with Commercial medical, pharmacy, and/or specialty product financials
- History of driving strong team performance and leading transformation within a large organization
- Demonstration of strong ownership and accountability for work products along with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field required.
- Advanced degree or professional credential preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
