The key responsibilities of the role include:
Review annual and interim financial statements of assigned funds
Review and file monthly and quarterly regulatory reports
Assist on annual fund investor tax reporting and regulatory reporting
Deliver high quality service to clients by accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks and requests for information
Ensure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met
Liaise with external auditors and deals with audit queries
Build and maintain relationships with clients, auditors and other external parties as well as internally: locally with other departments, with offshore partners and on EMEA level with other Financial Reporting teams
Additional tasks that may from time to time be required which are appropriate to the role and business requirements
Skills/ Qualifications:
University degree in accounting, finance or economics
Qualified/part-qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
Experience in financial statements preparation/review and audit/audit management of investment funds
Knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, FRS 102/UK SORP Accounting Standards for investment funds
Fluent English and excellent interpersonal skills as this role requires interaction at all levels of the organization and externally. German language also an advantage.
Proficient in the use of Bloomberg, Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Excel and Word
Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day client queries, and serve as a liaison to related areas
Aptitude to own problems and confidently make decisions to resolve issues in a risk-considered approach
Excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills
Ability to work in a structured pattern, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
