About the Team
You will be part of a dynamic team composed of Careem veterans and new joiners on a mission to build and propel Careem Food to become the market leader. We strive to embody our values of ownership, shooting to the moon, and being of service to customers, partners, colleagues, and captains. As Sales Team Lead, you will manage the team responsible for executing our sales strategy and vision by successfully signing and onboarding new partners and improving the customer experience through increased restaurant supply.
About the Role
As the Sales Team Lead for Careem, you will be responsible for driving new restaurant partnerships across UAE, with a strong focus on Abu Dhabi. Your leadership will be instrumental in motivating and guiding our sales team to achieve ambitious growth targets. Your expertise in sales strategy, team management, and market insights will play a pivotal role in shaping our success across this key market.
What you'll do
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of 8 sales professionals to achieve sales targets.
- Provide coaching, training, and support for the team’s professional growth.
- Support the team in closing deals and lead key negotiations where necessary.
- Drive pipeline management and improve efficiency.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the Sales Leadership to develop and execute winning sales strategies.
- Use creative, data-driven approaches to craft pitches and materials to close deals.
- Implement and refine processes to enhance team performance.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure successful onboarding and sustained partner growth.
What you'll need
- 3–5 years of experience managing sales teams with a proven track record in direct sales.
- Experience transforming teams through strong strategy and management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build a high-performance culture and a unified team vision.
- Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as Excel and Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi’s demographic and geographic landscape.
- Excellent reporting skills: ability to analyze data, create action plans, and communicate insights.
- Prior experience in food delivery or tech is a plus.
- Arabic/English bilingual proficiency is mandatory.
