Your Role
As a Technical Designer – Critical Facilities – Junior in Gensler’s Phoenix office, you will play a key role in the production and delivery of complex, technical projects, with a strong emphasis on Revit-based documentation and precision modeling. This is an ideal position for someone early in their career who is passionate about the technical side of architecture.

What You Will Do
Support the production of construction documents with a strong focus on Revit modeling, detailing, and documentation accuracy
Contribute to the development and refinement of technical drawing sets, ensuring alignment with design intent and project requirements
Assist in resolving complex technical and detailing challenges through thoughtful, practical solutions
Support the coordination of building systems by gaining hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components within complex building environments, and actively developing your technical understanding of their integration.
Participate in all project phases from conceptual design through construction, with an emphasis on Design Development and Construction Documentation
Collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to solve technical design challenges by communicating effectively across disciplines and contributing to the delivery of high‑tech, mission‑critical projects through thoughtful problem-solving.
Develop and maintain Revit standards, workflows, and model integrity across projects
Produce 3D models, diagrams, and technical graphics to support design communication and coordination
Support coordination with consultants and internal teams to ensure constructability and technical excellence
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, helping refine workflows, tools, and delivery processes
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) from an accredited program
0–5 years of experience, with a strong interest in technical design and production
Proficiency in Revit required; experience with complex models and documentation sets preferred
Working knowledge of construction documentation, detailing, and building systems
Familiarity with building codes and accessibility requirements
Strong attention to detail and a passion for precision and high-quality deliverables
Interest in sustainable design and high-performance building strategies
Ability to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and proactively propose solutions
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
