Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Senior Accountant to help support both the operational and statutory accounting functions of our India subsidiary, with additional exposure to US accounting and month-end close processes. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and scalable processes across geographies.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. They will act as a key finance partner to the India team while collaborating closely with global finance stakeholders to ensure alignment with company-wide standards.
Key Responsibilities
India Statutory & Operational Accounting
- Support day-to-day accounting and finance operations for the India entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Work with a third party to manage statutory compliance, including entity registrations, tax filings, and coordination of statutory audits
- Assist with payroll processing reviews and ensure compliance with local labor and tax regulations
- Maintain strong internal controls across cash management and expense cycles
- Partner with HR and internal teams to support compliant employee onboarding and compensation processes
- Serve as a primary finance point of contact for India-based employees
US Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Perform core accounting activities, including:
- Journal entries and account reconciliations
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Prepaids and amortization
- Operating expense accounting
- Support the monthly close process, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Coordinate with external accounting partners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support annual audit processes, including audit preparation and resolution of inquiries
- Partner with tax advisors on filings, compliance, and transfer pricing matters
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
