Our opportunity:
As the Senior Media Manager, for Burger King APAC, you will play a pivotal role in the regional APAC marketing team, as expert consultant across our markets, especially our key markets (India/SEA/Korea/Japan), advising them on key media strategies, driving both media effectiveness and efficiencies.
Within RBI, you will be working closely with broader marketing team in APAC as well as collaborating with international team for potential synergies. You will also be playing educator role to drive organization capability when it comes to media knowledge.
Externally, you will be taking the lead to engage and partner closely with key stakeholders, including media partners, media agencies and franchisee marketing teams, ensuring media execution with excellence, effectiveness and efficiencies.
Media is a critical driver of growth for Burger King APAC. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to apply media experience and knowledge to help drive both in market sales results and organization capability.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.
Your roles & responsibilities:
Regional Media Leadership:
- Act as the central media expert for the APAC region, partnering with franchise markets to elevate their media strategies and execution.
- Build a consolidated central view of markets’ media investments, opportunities and where there is opportunity to push for improvements across both effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide counsel on media mix, media investments, priorities, and optimization across various channels (e.g., digital, TV, OOH, social)
- Build strong relationships with local marketing teams, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Focus support on key markets, whilst ensuring scaled capability and support for other emerging opportunities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Lead the thinking and develop for key markets Media strategies. Proactively evaluating and identifying key media strategies for key markets especially during annual planning cycles.
- Develop and educate media frameworks for broader organization to reapply for broader markets.
- Help local teams identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive media effectiveness and ROI.
- Be recognized by franchisee across key markets as a media expert consultant and strategic advisor for media and brand planning.
- In-depth media domain & platform knowledge in APAC with field-tested application experience.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Develop KPIs to drive and track performance, linking to in market results. Continuously learning and share learning and best practices.
- Put in place tracker on working media and analyze media performance and uncover actionable insights/learning to improve media effectiveness/efficiency.
- Build media framework to drive compliance and execution with excellence.
Agency and Vendor Coordination:
- Support local markets in managing their media agencies and vendor relationships; lead and invite media pitches whenever necessary for key markets.
- Explore whenever relevant and applicable of potential global/regional partnerships, while ensuring in line with business needs.
Cross team/functional collaboration & driving Organization Capability:
- Collaborate closely with global teams and broader marketing/field teams to ensure media strategies are in line with strategic brand priorities.
- Lead efforts to impart and train broader organization, equipping local teams with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Share best practices, case studies, and insights across the region to elevate collective media expertise.
Your skills & experience:
- 8+ years of experience in media planning and buying or a related role within a multi-market/regional organization.
- Strong understanding of APAC markets and the unique consumer habits of media consumption across the region especially key markets, including India and SEA.
- Experience working in F&B category is a plus.
- Deep expertise in paid media channels (digital, traditional, and emerging platforms).
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to navigate key stakeholders needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance measurement and optimization. Experience is media mix modelling (MMM) is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
